Last weekend we attended our first large scale vendor show at The Vintage Market in Trenton Michigan. It was an amazing experience. I was able to meet many of my social media followers and local customers who made a point to stop in and show their support.
The show was located in the beautiful Elizabeth Park right on the Detroit River, so the setting was perfect. My booth stayed pretty busy throughout the day making the time fly by pretty quickly. I was assisted by my beautiful daughter who made quite a few sales on her own. She loves our products and knows everything there is to know about each one (she’s nine) . Proud mom moment for sure.
I managed to sail through the day with only one mishap. What was the mishap? Oh, I only forgot my soap! Ha! Out of everything I could forget, how could I forget my soap?! My wonderful husband came to the rescue and an hour into the show, my soap boxes were fully stocked. It all worked out okay and we sold out of a lot of our products.
We have been invited to be a vendor at quite a few farmers markets this summer, but I think we will instead concentrate on adding more product to our website and prepare for the Fall Vintage Market which is September 25th. I’m really looking forward to working with the wonderful founders/owners again. If your local, come check it out. You won’t be disappointed. I promise 🙂
